Taz March (2002-2015)
We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Taz, on October 13th, 2015. He was 13 years old. I remember when he first came to us. My husband went to see some puppies in foster care at Second Chance in Nelson, one puppy followed him around & chased the other puppies away, that puppy picked him! A beautiful looking pup came home with him, but oh...what a challenge! He was like a bull in a China Shop. We named him after the cartoon character "Tazmanian Devil" because he was a whirlwind; constantly on the move and getting into everything. I was dragging behind his leash trying to keep up. Heaven, he won our hearts!
Taz liked his walks in the woods, and going for a Kayak, motorboat or ATV ride. He enjoyed swimming in the lake and fetching huge sticks out of the lake. When my husband picked up the fishing rod, Taz was ready to go fishing. We spent many happy hours together.
Taz loved food - all kinds and lots of it! He loved his people, especially the ones with treats and doggy friends. A big thank you to Dr. Hahn and all the staff at the West Kootenay Animal Hospital for being so good to Taz and helping us get through this difficult time.
Taz was a wonderful companion, he gave us many years of happiness & joy. He will live in our hearts forever.
"Now I run through tall grassy fields; and play among the stars; forever."
